WITH YOU IN MIND
Julie J. Wells received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 2004 and her J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi Law School in 2007. She later chose to establish her practice in Oxford, Mississippi.
Julie’s law practice is focused on skillfully advising her clients on corporate and healthcare matters. After working in-house with a large hospital system and as an operational director for a physician group, Julie understands and appreciates both the day-to-day and the big picture issues and considerations that physicians, practices, and healthcare organizations in Mississippi face every day.
For the past decade, Julie has worked with businesses — in the healthcare industry and beyond — to advise her clients on structural, regulatory, operational, and transactional matters. She focuses on building solid, long-lasting relationships with her clients, based on competence, mutual trust, and reliability.
I work on a broad range of complex legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, venture capital, private equity, licensing, commercial lending, corporate governance, tax credit financing, family business planning, and the formation of investment funds.
I put a strong emphasis on representing physician groups, especially in their relationships with hospitals, academic medical centers, managed care organizations and insurance providers. I also represent medical device and pharmaceutical companies, HMOs, hospitals, clinical laboratories, and other health facilities in corporate, regulatory, technology, and contractual matters.
I work with individuals and families, providing legal advice on a variety of matters such as investments, taxation, estate management, wills and testamentary issues. I also work for charitable bodies, providing legal services for registration, restructuring, creating charters or trust deeds, compliance with statutory and local authorities and regular management and disbursement of funds, which have been received or earned for charitable endeavors.
